About Me

Aimee Dockum
 

Aimee Dockum was adopted from Seoul, South Korea in 1994. She began piano at the age of seven, and at the age of 10 started cello. Her studies with Dr. Thomas Loewenheim began in 2007. 

 

 Dockum has been a special guest at Indiana University's iMAYO, an international Youth Festival. and has played principle in multiple orchestras such as Youth Orchestra of Fresno, CSU Fresno, FMCMEA; as well as CODA, FOOSA, and CMITM. 

 

Aimee has won numerous command performances from ASTA, Central California Baroque Festival, as well as local solo festivals. 

 

Dockum has worked with many talented artists such as Bruce Bransby, Jesus Castro Balbi, Arkady Fomin, Vadim Gluzman, Rachel Barton Pine, Scott Piper, Jon Ruck, Brian Schudlt and Limor Toren Immerman.

 

Masterclasses include Alexander Chaushian (Royal College of Music), Emilio Colon (Indiana University), Clive Greensmith (Colburn), Lynn Harrell, Desmond Hoebig (Rice University), Melih Kara (Cellistanbul), Mark Kosower (Cleveland Institute of Music), Tom Landschoot (Arizona State University), Antonio Lysy (UCLA), Brian Schuldt (Felici Piano Trio), Janos Starker (Indiana University), Tusyoshi Tsutsumi (TOHO Gakuen), Wendy Warner,  Mark Votapek, and many more.

 

Dockum has played solo with both the Fresno State Symphony Orchestra and the Kings County Symphony Orchestra.
